I thought it be good idea to have the temple displayed early on to reveal: "This is where I want to go!"

Once the puzzles are solved and the door unlocks I wanted it to be extra clear that this is the next step of your adventure.

Inspired by Dark Souls I wanted lighting to reveal where you need to go.

Video of the above pictures, giving clear indication of where the player should go but also warning the player of what pillars will fall when they land on them.

This area was pretty basic with new puzzles that did not exist on the outside level. I tried to drive the player's eyes with light and using the purple to designate where they should strive to go.

I together with a level designer took charge of how to implement this puzzle. We decided to leave the answer on the front and then you notice as you take the first step of what happens if you fail to follow it, with a focus of the gate is where to go.

The Book you find unlocks your UI elements and the first dino creature. Both made by me including its skeleton.

I was in charge of making the 2D images of the Dino creatures into 3D. I focused on giving them their unique character based on the concept and then gave them space for plenty of animation on the rigged skeleton.

I was in charge of making the Gate impressive and interesting to get towards. The three statues above was placed by the game designers to tell the player "You need these three dinos first!".

I helped improve the coloring and the direction of the particles. Here I display the fire laser which I helped color correct and then the fire and smoke which I helped appear more naturally.

Student Project: Apeheart

"The Dino-Tastic Adventure of Amelia Apeheart" is an adventure game where you collect dinosaurs and use their magical powers to bypass puzzles. I worked on the dinosaurs and rigging the skeletons for all our characters. I also worked on particles, environment art, and level art. This student project was created in 7 weeks using Unity Engine, Maya, and Photoshop.
